Medical Outreaches

Healthcare Shouldn't Depend on Where You Live

Around the world, over half the population still lacks access to essential health services. On the Laikipia Plateau, where the nearest clinic can be hours away on foot, that gap is felt every day.

So at least once a month, the Mugie Clinic comes to them instead. Made possible by Mugie, Ekorian’s Mugie Camp and generous support through The Moyo Foundation, our clinical team and volunteers, often joined by partner organisations, travel out to our neighbouring areas, offering consultations and medication at no cost.

It's a small, steady act, repeated month after month: showing up, treating what needs treating and reminding people that where you live shouldn't decide whether you get better.

Part of something bigger
Global health has a name for this mission, the UN calls it Good Health and Well-Being, one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals the world has set for itself by 2030. Ours is a much smaller piece of this mission but a piece all the same.

One dispensary, one consultation, one day at a time.
